VINE DELEAFER HIRE

AWS Stockmayer is a family run German viticultural machinery company specialising in trimmers and deleafers. Now in their fourth generation, Stockmayer have a wealth of knowledge in manufacturing vine trimmers after developing their own knife bar cutting machines and free-cutting rotating knives over 35 years ago.

Deleafer

The Stockmayer Deleafer has been on the market since 2006 and has been continuously improved over the years.

Suction is created by a radial blower, attracting leaves to a specially perforated hollow roller. The roller rotates in a counter direction to a second, smaller, solid cylinder, with leaves drawn between the rollers and plucked from the vines. A fixed air gap between the rollers ensures that no pressure is applied, eliminating wear to the rollers. The entire leaf will be removed and grapes remain undamaged in the fruiting zone, with the results comparable to leaf removal by hand.

Additional components include front blades, hydraulically supported automatic leaf scanning/line guidance and mounting brackets amongst others, and there are single and double sided options available.

First day rate | £325

Price for the first day of hire includes total machine set up; fitting the deleafer, instruction on use and supervision/demonstration of first few row passes and further calibration if required. Please note a mounting bracket may be required at your expense, so advise on your tractor type on hire enquiry.

Subsequent hire | £200

This rate is calculated only on days in use and we do not charge for storage/days not in use while at your vineyard.

Delivery and collection | £POA

This will vary per vineyard dependant on our mileage.
